Weight-Volume adjustment for plyos

Looking at the Strength tab on the athlete profile, when a plyometric session is prescribed the total volume compared to a strength workout is very low, naturally. For the sake of the graph, would there be any benefit in using body weight per rep for this session to calculate total mass moved in relation to total foot contacts? Obviously there is a high neuroligical response/fatigue to this session, but currently I would say this “dose” is not represented accurately in the strength tab of the athletes profile.

    I think the way we could achieve this is a flag to include body weight.
    Then when the athlete submits “0” to weight completed the system will use bodyweight for load calculations

      Hi @James Mckechnie sorry missed this reply. So what instruction should I give the athlete, leave it saved as zero weight with X weight, or could this label or flag be added to the plyo exercises in the exercise library before they are prescribed?

        Hey Luke - when we implement this, we’ll add a toggle in the exercise library to add the user’s bodyweight to the lift, and an optional multiplier. For example, you could turn this on for Pull-ups with a multiplier of 1x, and turn it on for Pushups with a multiplier of 0.5x.

        If the user fills in the weight for one of these exercises, we’ll add that on top of the bodyweight result. For example:

        An exercise with 0.75x multiplier with 100kg of bodyweight, and 20kg entered into the app:

        Volume = (100kg * 0.75) + 20kg = 95kg.

        The reporting will always use the latest setting for the exercise. For example, if you had the option disabled when an athlete submitted their workout, and then enabled it at a later date, all historic data would update to include bodyweight. If you then changed the multiplier, all historic data would update again to reflect the new multiplier.

          @Ryan Brereton that is brilliant and very intuitive for back dating the changes too. Thanks very much
